Credentialing/Recredentialing

Scott & White Health Plan delegates a range of credentialing activities to external credentialing organizations, referred to as "Credentialing Delegates".

The Credentialing Delegate, at the least, performs primary source verification. Scott & White Health Plan Quality Improvement Department is responsible for the following

• Oversight of delegated primary source verification.
• Monitoring/reporting of Quality and Utilization Data

Practitioners have the right

• To review information submitted to support their credentialing application.
• To correct erroneous information.
• To be informed of the status of their credentialing or recredentialing application upon request.
