Waiting Periods
New hire waiting periods will be chosen by the employer. Waiting periods cannot be waived, even at initial enrollment. If the company is a legal small group, the new hire waiting period cannot be longer than 90 days.
If the company is a large group, the new hire waiting period can be any reasonable time period the employer chooses, but still must be followed by all employees.
The Application/Enrollment form
for new employees must be received by SWHP within 31 days of the effective date.
