MOMS Program

In keeping with the trend toward family centered care and shorter hospital stays, the Scott & White Health Plan offers the MOMS (Maternal Options Maintenance Support) program to families with new babies. MOMS supports families in the home following baby's birth with personal phone calls by a registered nurse (RN).

Questions are answered concerning mom and baby on routine and preventive care. Conditions which may require physician interaction are assessed. Healthy lifestyle habits are encouraged.

MOMS is a value-added service that offers a "personal and finishing touch" to maternity care. The service is an optional feature for our Scott & White Health Plan members.
