Our Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) offers medical benefits to employers of all sizes. With our group plans, members have direct access to quality care through the Scott & White Health Plan network of physicians and hospitals expanding throughout 34 Central Texas counties. Scott & White Health Plan delivers medical care through our extensive network of physicians and hospitals. You can choose from a variety of plans, from a traditional HMO to the new generation of consumer-directed health plans. Whether you need a plan with no deductible and affordable co-payments or small deductibles and higher co-payments, we have one available for you.
  • MEDesign Group Major Medical Coverage - Get the reassurance of major medical coverage with MEDesign. By choosing it as your company's group plan, you and your employees can have the necessary coverage in the unfortunate event of an accident or illness. Unlike other major medical plans, MEDesign puts you and your employees in charge. It provides more flexibility and control, while keeping prices reasonable. Members are allowed to go to any physician and hospital they want. And because MEDesign uses a fixed provider reimbursement program, members can engage in negotiating the best possible fee. With MEDesign, employers can select the mix of benefits that meets their employees' needs. You can even broaden the benefits package with optional coverage to include preventive care and prescription drug coverage.
  • Prescription Services - When offering your group plan, remember Scott & White Health Plan provides excellent prescription drug coverage for your employees and an easy way to manage prescription benefits for you. Our Prescription Benefit Management service can help your business handle every aspect of the process, as well as identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Self-Insured - Reward yourself for having a healthy workforce by selecting a self-funded PPO product for your company's medical coverage. Our experienced case managers will manage your company's healthcare benefits so you can focus on achieving your business objectives. You'll receive administrative support that creates opportunities for your business to cut costs and make certain your employees receive the best possible healthcare experience.
  • Individuals - Health Plus Individual Plans assure comprehensive medical coverage for individuals who do not have access to other insurance plans. Each plan includes high quality medical coverage, affordable premiums and superior customer service. These plans are available to individuals and families who work or reside in the Scott & White Health Plans service area.
  • Young Texan - An affordable, high-quality medical plan, the Young Texan assures comprehensive medical coverage for children who do not have access to other insurance plans. So if you are a parent, a relative, a friend or neighbor, you can provide the child you care about with their very own health coverage. As an added option, you can select a prescription drug rider.
  • Texas Rx - For more than 100 years, Central Texans have trusted in Scott & White for superior care. We are proud to offer the protection you need with one of the best Medicare prescription drug plans available for any Texas citizen. You can feel secure with the quality and individual care you'd expect from a fellow Texan.
  • Consumer-Directed Health Plans - With our consumer-directed options individuals have the opportunity to actively engage in the decision-making process. You can offer the following types of programs:
    • First Dollar Plan - This plan offers 100% coverage for the first $500 or $1000, depending upon the plan selected. Out-of-pocket maximums for individuals and families that include medical deductibles, office visit co-payment and percentage co-payments.
    • Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) - The employer funds the medical expense reimbursements and sets the funding level and maximum contributions. The funds roll over from year to year. This plan can be offered alone or with a major medical plan with optional prescription coverage.
    • Health Savings Account (HSA) - The employer and employee funds this account. This plan requires a high-deductible group health plan and a qualified trustee or custodian. The funds roll over from year to year, they are portable, and can offer optional prescription coverage. All HSA accounts are individually owned and distributions are tax-free if they are used for qualified medical expenses.
    • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) - This account can pay certain medical expenses with pre-tax dollars. The employer and employee set the funding levels.
