SeniorCare and SeniorCare Rx Eligibility
To be eligible for SeniorCare you must:
- Live in the Scott & White Health Plan's SeniorCare service area

- Be enrolled in Medicare Part B
- Be entitled to Medicare Part A
- Not have End Stage Renal Disease*
If you do not have Medicare Part A, you can purchase it from Social Security or Scott & White Health Plan.
To be eligible for SeniorCare Rx you must:
- Live in the Scott & White Health Plan's SeniorCare Rx service area

- Be enrolled in Senior Select, Senior Preferred or Senior Preferred Plus
You can enroll in SeniorCare:
- When you first retire after age 65
- When you first become eligible to enroll for Medicare
- During open enrollment
You can enroll in SeniorCare Rx:
- When you first retire after age 65
- When you first become eligible to enroll for Medicare
- During open enrollment. Open enrollment is held annually during November 15th through December 31st of each year.
- If you qualify for a special enrollment period
*If you have End Stage Renal Disease you are eligible to enroll if you are currently a Scott & White Health Plan member or have had a kidney transplant to restore function and you no longer require a regular course of dialysis or kidney transplantation to maintain life.
