Scott & White Health Plan offers a variety of dental benefit plans underwritten by MetLife, the largest commercial dental carrier in the U.S. MetLife administers benefits for 20 million people and has over 67,000 participating dentists nationwide.

With MetLife Preferred Dentist Program, employees have the option to go in-network or out-of-network for dental treatment. MetLife in-network benefits are reimbursed based on negotiated schedules with participating dentists in each area. Out-of-network benefits are reimbursed based on 90th percentile of Reasonable and Customary charges in a given area.
