The Joint Commission surveyed the Scott & White Temple Hospital Stroke Program on October 6, 2011. After a thorough site visit, the hospital received Primary Stroke Center (PSC) certification. The Temple hospital will be joining other PSCs in the Scott & White system, including Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center and Scott & White-Round Rock.
Becoming a PSC was a hospital-wide initiative that required teamwork across the hospital, and would not have been possible without the help of everyone working together. Obtaining this national certification shows the commitment Scott & White has to the community to provide the best care to our stroke patients... thus moving us closer to the Scott & White Mission and Vision to provide the highest level of care and be the Most Trusted and Most Valued name in healthcare.
